Headed up by European champion open-water swimmer, Mark Deans, TRYkitesurfing is the best and safest hands around.
Set up in 2003, the school is Scotland’s longest established training centre. Our team of IKO qualified instructors are experienced in guiding students through the basics of kitesurfing and will help you land on your feet in your very first lesson.
The school is based at Barassie Beach, Troon on the West Coast of Scotland. We use this location for our students as we have the space to offer you uninterrupted lessons in a safe and controlled environment as both the wind conditions and direction in relation to the beach are ideal for teaching. On our courses we teach you about what makes a safe kitesurfing location and the ideal wind speed and direction needed for you to venture out on your own to practise.
Our primary aim at TRYkitesurfing is to not only introduce you to this fantastic sport, but to get our students feeling confident and safe to head out themselves. Once you are trained in the basics and safety it’s all about practise and we offer great packages on equipment sales to students for this.
Also keep an eye on our social media pages as we regularly post what we’re up to including meet-ups of students to get everyone practicing together with an instructor on-hand to help – the perfect way to improve and meet fellow students and kitesurfers. Kitesurfing is a friendly and supportive community and TRYkitesurfing is a great way to be introduced to this sport and become a part of it.
